So over thanksgiving, Mir and Nichlas and I were having fun playing with Tobit. Here are some cute videos that came to be:

Box smashing and sitting up

So to keep our house free from a carpet of duplos, we have toy boxes strategically placed both upstairs and downstairs. The upstairs box is just the right size for Tobit to tip over and suck on. Here's a sweet little video of Tobit's box domination.

....and making ourselves sound rediculous in the process....




The sound "avlahk!" is a nonsense sound that we make that Tobit smiles to. It has a long linguistic development in the Nichlas and Joelle nonsense language that needn't be explained here.

An evening of scrabble...

So we had an ongoing scrabble game for a few days and we'd always end up playing at night before bed. Tobit of course wanted in on the action. So Nichlas gave him the best view of the board...

And then we put him in his high chair so we could focus on this very heated game...and caught this fun little video.....

A visit to DC!

In the fall, Tobit and I went for a visit to DC to see family and friends!

A day hike

We took a nice little day hike with Tob on a beautiful day in the fall. And it was a good chance for me to try to get back in hiking shape after baby....boy was it a steep hike too! Check out the pics...

This was the last bit of the hike....windingly steep and unforgiving! But the view was worth it!!!


Ah....the beauty of Oregon. (And I don't just mean me ;-)
